What do we feed?
We always try to provide balanced protein rich food to the kids.
A kid less than 16 years old can intake 1200 Calories of food in a single meal.
And his protein requirement is 0.8g/kg of his/her own body weight, which means 27-30g of net protein everyday.
Our menu contains pulses (~40g), soya chunks (50-60g), and either egg or fish mandatorily, along with carbohydrates and some vegetables.
Who gets the food?
Our capacity is limited, and is purely dependent on the contributions from public. We select the kids who really require nourishment through our series of medical camps across the city, and select the weakest 14 of the lot from each camp. The accounts and the selection criteria are published via this website.
